Passenger Information

Welcome aboard the Transmac bus. To ensure a safe and comfortable travel, the Transportes Urbanos de Macau, S.A.R.L. (hereinafter referred to as “Transmac”) would like to inform our passengers to observe and take heed of the following notes:

  • Please board and alight the bus by using specified entrance and exit door respectively, and take care of your companion(s), in particular, the minors, the seniors and people in need.
  • Please pay exact fare upon boarding, no change will be given. In addition to cash fare option, electronic payment system, that the bus has equipped with, is also available for passengers to pay with Macau Pass, Mpay, etc.
  • Minors over 1 meter in height must pay their fares.
  • Large objects, dangerous goods, animals, livestock and poultry cannot be carried on bus.
    • Large objects: the sum of the length, width and height of the item is less than 170cm, while the length of any side does not exceed 130cm. Items that could be exempted from the rule include musical instruments, sports equipment, foldable baby strollers, wheelchairs and other supporting tools for persons with disabilities. In order not to cause inconvenience to other passengers, baby strollers shall be folded and placed properly on board.
    • The bus captain is obliged to deny entry of items that may disturb or harm other passengers, even if the size limits are met.
    • Dangerous goods: all flammable, corrosive and hidden dangerous goods, including hand trolleys.
    • Animals, livestock and poultry: all animals, pets, livestock and poultry, excluding police dogs, and guide dogs accompanying the visually impaired.
  • Subject to traffic conditions, the scheduled frequency of service may be adjusted. Please follow Transmac's website or notice on bus for latest updates.
  • When the bus has reached its authorized carrying capacity, the bus captain has the right to refuse further boarding.
  • The bus captain has the right to refuse boarding of people who may cause disturbance or danger to other passengers.
  • Please move to the rear part of the bus compartment after boarding to keep the doorways clear.
  • Hold the handrail while the bus is in motion, and do not stay in the yellow area or on the staircase. Passengers shall wear seat belts, where they are fitted.
  • For your own safety, please remain seated or hold the handrails while the bus is in motion.
  • According to the law, smoking on bus is strictly prohibited.
  • No eating, drinking, littering or spitting on board in order to keep the bus compartment clean.
  • Please refrain from drawing graffiti or vandalizing on board.
  • Please do not interfere any mechanism, device or control of the bus.
  • When you wish to leave the bus, press the stop bell in good time.
  • Please take care of your own belongings. Transmac shall not be liable for any loss or damage to personal belongings.
  • Please queue at designated area of the bus stop. For boarding, please wave to the bus captain.
  • Please offer your seat to anyone in need.
  • Do not speak to the bus captain while the bus is in motion. Do not use any threatening, abusive, or obscene language or gesture, or any other means to disturb the bus captain or any other passengers on board.
  • Please refrain from causing nuisance to others, namely, occupying seats with your personal belongings, putting your feet on the seats, playing mobile devices loudly, etc.
  • For the purposes of ensuring passenger safety, enhancing service quality and investigating incident, the bus compartment is under CCTV surveillance.
  • At all times other than an emergency, passengers must not interfere or use the break-glass hammer or other safety device that aids in emergency extrication.
  • If any unattended item is found on board, please pass it to the bus captain or terminus supervisor for handling.
  • For your own safety, always stay alert when charging or using mobile phones.
  • Disclaimer of Warranties – Interchange Discount
    • Transmac shall not be responsible if any passenger is unable to enjoy the interchange discount due to objective reasons, such as traffic congestions, bus breakdowns, etc.
    • The content and provisions of the interchange discounts and fare concessions are subject to the applicable laws and regulations.
