Transmac – Transportes Urbanos de Macau S.A.R.L. hosted the “Rooted in Macau for 65 years – Transmac Anniversary Celebration Dinner” on 6 December 2017. Mr Edmund Ho Hau Wah, the Vice-Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference; Mr Ho Iat Seng, the President of the Legislative Assembly of the Macau Special Administrative Region; Mr Lionel Leong Vai Tac, the Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macau Special Administrative Region; Mr Liu Bin, the Director-General of the Economic Affairs Department of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government; Mr Liu Chak Wan, the Standing Committee Member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference; Mr Chui Sai Cheong, the Vice-President of the Legislative Assembly of the Macau Special Administrative Region; Mr Lam Hin San, the Director of the Transport Bureau of the Macau Special Administrative Region; and Ms Lei Ioc Heng, the former Chairperson of the General Assembly of Transmac and Mr Liu Hei Wan, the Company’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, in officiating the launching ceremony for the night. Total 150 people amongs other government officials of the Macau Special Administrative Region, public figures, representatives from social organizations, the local commercial and industrial sectors and media organizations, and friends from the public transportation industry were also invited to the event.
To celebrate “Rooted in Macau for 65 years”, series of events and activities were organized includes: Outstanding Bus Captains Competition, 2 days trip to Zhao Qing, Table Tennis Competition, The Fun Bus Trip, Bus graffiti event, Bus memorabilia exhibition with showcase of a classic bus model from the 1990s manufactured by Mercedes Benz.
Introduced 18-meter articulated bus model with 120 passenger loading capacity, focusing on high passenger demand routs and stops to mitigate passenger flow in a timely manner.
Total 159 Buses were either submerged or damaged by Typhoon Hato on 23 August 2017, staff members were devoted to repair almost 100 buses in few days;With the effort and supports being made by DSAT, DSF, SA, Bus supplier and our Staff Members, additional 35 buses were able to delivered in advance, which took only 5 days to complet the operation procedures from the manufacturer in Su Zhou to Macau, managed to put into operation before first day of school on 4 September. This is a successful demonstration of the collaboration between the Government and the community againt nature diaster.
